A man on death row for a double murder wrote a series of letters to his wife. Each letter imparts a different aspect of the process of grief. These letters have been restored for an archival series through a process of restoration, collation, branding, digital art, graphic design, photography, and website development by the Department of Justice Preservation. This is that archive.
Throughout history, the minds of individuals, comprised of their emotional states, experiences, and the winding paths they navigate to resolve the two together, are lost with them. As such, in an attempt to remind us of the different ways that humans function, it remains the duty of the Department of Justice Preservation to compile fragments of life that may have otherwise been swept down by the wind in the form of writing, which is the purest form of human expression.
