Context

"dear dear," is what we have titled the first letter as it is how every letter is addressed. The inmate in his first entry grapples with the trial that found him guilty, and seemingly, how his wife wasn't present to testify despite the allegations. There are several theories as to what became of his wife however regardless, 3975 / 7745 was clearly in the throes of denial: "when you get this, when this has travelled far enough, race to these walls."
